Job Application Follow Up

This job market is absolutely atrocious. I finally left my toxic job of four years and people are not kidding, it is abysmal out there.

I do not believe in being a complainer, I believe in taking action and doing something.

I was able to land a job in just two weeks of searching. I did use Indeed, and I wanted to share my follow up email in hopes of helping someone else.

Make sure to tailor the information to yours, and I wish you the best of luck. You need to manifest that you can do this, and there is nothing wrong with taking cash jobs like babysitting or mowing to get the money flowing. If you are sitting around complaining, living off unemployment, or just blindly applying without humbling yourself you will not get anywhere. The Universe will block your money flow.

I am not willingly sharing this information for free to help out losers. I’m going to be blunt here. If you are reading this it means that you actively want better for yourself and the people around you. Remember, we rise together. I believe in you, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF and let’s get this money so we can change the world into a peaceful, beautiful future for our new generations. Be about the change and get yourself together. Let’s get to this money.

I am giving this information to you FOR FREE. No, I will not write this email for you. You need to help yourself and figure things out. Google is free. Feel free to copy and paste the information in this blog post or click the link below to download the .pdf to adjust the content. You should be able to copy and paste the content from the .pdf file to either a Google Doc or Word Doc or just rename the file and change the file type.

Follow Up Email Example

Adjust the following information to fit your specific work history, passion for the company you are applying for, and make sure to research the story of the place you are interested in working for.

Hello there,

My name is (your name), and I just applied through (job application website) for your (job name) position at your (location and city). I wanted to personally reach out since I actually love and respect this (business type) so much! (The following sentences are an example of what I used, you can be as specific or vague as you would like, the goal here is to be personable to the hiring manager and to the job position you are applying for). I was born in Charleston, so I already aligned with the desire to have a second location in Savannah. I went to the Savannah location for my birthday in April and was very impressed with the interior design, menu options for food, cocktails, and wine, and I was even more impressed with the staff.

(The following paragraph needs to include detailed reasons of why you want to work at the location you are interested in. Have you been there before? Do you know anyone who works there? You are competing against the entire job market right now, you need to be the person who has the leg up on your competition. This is your time to shine!) I was pleasantly surprised to see some of my coworkers from the JW Marriott Plant Riverside on staff; that is when I knew it was a great place to work. I am already highly impressed with the reputation this restaurant has brought to Savannah, and it would be an absolute pleasure to work with hardworking professionals who are like-minded. I truly believe in being tenacious, providing the highest level of service possible, and connecting with the guests through education, menu exploration, and knowledge of the city.

(This paragraph is about your dreams and goals) It would be a dream to combine my passion for crafting beautiful and delicious cocktails and providing top-tier service with the historic charm of the (business name and city). I really appreciate your time, and I hope to speak further about the position!

Thank you so much for reviewing my application materials.

Best regards,

(Your Name)
